The Farm

Once upon a time, a letter was sent to a young lady named Mia, who lived in the most polluted city of the world. She used to be a secretary when the bad news were received. Her grandfather had passed away and his farm was left in her name. In the letter, there were some specifications written by the old man before dying. The place had to be taken care of by his beloved granddaughter and It had to be inherit by her future children. The situation of the city was known by the old man, so he wanted to give to his descendants the best life before dying.

Mia was sad and confused, but she took a decision. The dare was accepted and before he knew it, he was already traveling. The farm was described as fantastic and full of live in the letter, but when the entrance was touched by her feet, she noticed everything looked terrible. Many animals were starving and the land was infested with undergrowth. As a person who had never been in a similar situation, the best option was resigned herself to live that way.

Many months passed and the land kept in a bad condition. The farm was not being taken care of by Mía, who only sold everything he could since the beginning. However, a terrible nightmare appeared on her dreams. The voice of his grandfather started to scold her and show her how disappointed he was.

She was followed by the voice even during the day and madness had begun to grow in her head. She felt like she was observed by some weird creatures from the long undergrowth and there was a point where going outside the house was not an option. But a day, when she could not handle it more and after gathering much iron, a sharp sickle was made by his own hands and all the grass of the farm started to get cut by her, including some old crops and trees. When all the plants of the long land were uprooted, a faint groan was heard throughout the whole place. Then, a body lying on the ground was noticed by her eyes. It belonged to her grandfather!

Suddenly, before she could do something, her head was hit by an heavy object and the earth received her at his fall.

Everything turned out to be a lie, the letter was never written by his grandfather and she only was tricked. Everything was made to make her crazy...
